THE LONDON WAREHOUSE, MANCHESTER
As head of estates of Native, the new operator of the building formerly named The Place, I was required by the funders, Ares, to be involved in the construction and refurbishment of this building project managed by Gardiner and Theobald.
The design of the refurbishment of the due to be named The London warehouse was executed by Archer Humphries architects, and they made a formidable new design of a grade II listed cotton warehouse near Piccadilly station in Manchester, Duchy street.
I was involved during the construction process, and helped identify areas that would directly impact the future operation of the building. My involvement saved the costs to retrofit safe systems of work, maintenance costs and the disruption that would have been caused otherwise.
